Tone Regulation

Everyone knows that pianos need regular tuning to sound great, but many piano owners don’t realize that the tone quality of their piano needs occasional maintenance too!  Unlike electronic keyboards, which sound the same whenever they are plugged in, your piano’s tone quality changes gradually over time, as the felt hammers become hard and worn.

The tone quality of your piano can, and should, be periodically adjusted.  This process, called Tone Regulation or Voicing, helps your piano keep the warm, expressive sound that makes pianos such a pleasure to hear.  Tone Regulation is the secret to keeping your piano’s tone quality in beautiful condition, year after year.
