Pianos have taken me on a grand adventure for many years now, from childhood piano lessons in Indiana to piano technology school in Canada and piano tech opportunities all over the U.S. In 2010 came the best chapter of all- returning to my home state of Indiana to launch Smith Piano, a full-service piano care company dedicated to providing Indianapolis piano owners with the very best in piano tuning and technical service. David Smith bio
Smith Piano Service is owned and operated by David Smith. David is a graduate of the piano technology program at the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario, Canada. This intensive training led to a position with the Steinway piano company, at Steinway Hall in New York City as well as the concert piano selection room at the Steinway piano factory. Following his time at Steinway New York, David accepted a position as a piano technician with the Colburn School of Music in Los Angeles, California. In 2010, David returned to Indiana to launch Smith Piano Service. Smith Piano has quickly grown into one of Indiana’s leading piano service providers, maintaining pianos in homes, teaching studios, churches, universities, and concert halls. Smith Piano serves clients in and around Indianapolis, Carmel, Fishers, Noblesville and more.
